
David Lloyd - Information Technology Coordinator
David Lloyd has 16 years of teaching experience in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and working with computers in education. A native Canadian, he has been teaching English and computer science for the last eight years, as well as serving as the computer coordinator at the High School for Environmental Studies in Midreshet Ben Gurion in the Negev, Israel. Before that he taught for eight years at a regional kibbutz high school and a regional kibbutz middle school.
David is also the author of the novel - Twisted - a trilogyDavid's experience of utilizing the Internet as a tool for communication within education is extensive and he has been sought after by many groups to coordinate the technology of their programs. He has trained students and teachers from many nations and backgrounds on how to set up interactive project-based Web sites for educational purposes. Some of his highlights on the international level include technology coordinator for the 11th International Caretakers of the Environment Conference on the Environment and Communications, and the inaugural International Youth Environmental Summit.
David's responsibilities as the Information Technology Coordinator of The 21st Century Schoolhouse include: overseeing the development and maintenance of the organization's Web site; providing technical support to participating schools; maintaining links to other Web sites associated with the activities of the organization; and developing new technologies and applications for The 21st Century Schoolhouse.
