
Purpose:
The purpose of the Executive Council is to develop policy and steer the direction of the Schoolhouse as an international organization. The Executive Council shall be responsible for implementation of the decisions made by the Board of Directors. The Executive Council shall make recommendations to the Board based up on input from the International Schoolhouse Coordinators.Structure:
The Executive Council shall be made up of 5 members from the International Schoolhouse Coordinators. These members shall include the following positions:
- Internal Communications Coordinator
- Information Technology Coordinator
- Summit Coordinator
- Program Development Coordinator
- Special Projects Coordinator
Terms:
The Executive Council shall have no term limits (except the Summit Coordinator - see Summit Coordinator description). Should a member of the Executive Council resign from duty, that member shall notify the Board of Directors in writing and assist in the process of selection and transition of a new Council member.Duties:
- Members of the Executive Council shall communicate via email or chat on a regular and continual basis with the other members of the Council and the International Coordinators
- Members of the Executive Council shall oversee the implementation, progression and evaluation of all Schoolhouse activities.
- Members of the Executive Council shall provide reports to the Board of Directors and make recommendations on policy.
