Martha Torres - Internal Communications Coordinator

Martha is a bilingual/bicultural lead teacher for Oregon Outreach, Inc. at Aztec Street Academy, an alternative education program serving middle and high school youth in Woodburn, Oregon. She directly supervises two instructors and designs and implements academic plans and program curriculum. She is also responsible for providing bilingual services to the parents and students of the program.

Martha's other responsibilities include: communication (in both Spanish and English) of student progress with parents, probation officers, school officials and related support staff; direct instruction and supervision of student records; promotion of student accountability through behavior management systems; and translations of all materials for Spanish-speaking families.

Martha most recently participated in the 1999 International Youth Environmental Summit in Perth, Australia with the USA/North American student delegation.
