Deciding to live in a boarding school is quite a hard decision. It means leaving home, privacy, family, home cooked meals and friends for the sake of living on your own.
Many pupils decided to come to our boarding school because of ideology of environmental education. In our days, not many teenagers care about the environment and even fewer are willing to leave home and come to a boarding school. But we do not want to tal k about that in our article. We want to talk about what it is like to live in a boarding school.
Life in a boarding school has pros and cons. As we mentioned earlier, it means leaving a lot behind and starting your social life all over again, which for some might bea helpful thing. It also means learning how to handle things on your own and it's a go od lesson in responsibility.
Here is a typical day in our boarding school:
Wake up at 7 o'clock, run to the dining room, go to class a 8 o'clock for a l-o-n-g school day till 5 o'clock P.M., homework, after school activities and at 12 o'clock P.M., we drop sound asleep. Somewhere in between all that, we manage to spend a little time with our friends, eat lunch, dinner and listen to music.
Besides all that, we sometimes go on hikes (usually on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) near our boarding school. The food here is not so good, there is not much to eat, but we manage... we are all skin and bones, except for one but he just has a slow metabolism. Just kidding ...
In conclusion, life in a boarding school is a lot of fun. It prepares you for real life after the army and in the army itself. We enjoy our time here. It is a beautiful place. It is a home away from home.
