Over the years the problems between the religious and non-religious people have become more and more serious until the point that sometimes each side cannot live with the other.
In the Israeli Declaration of Independence it says, "All people no matter what age, gender, religion or color should be treated the same and have the same rights as the other." But as the religious parties become larger and larger, the other major parties - - the Labor party (which is on the left) and the Likud party (which is on the right) have to add the religious parties to their government in order to have a majority in the parliament. Otherwise the government would fall. The parties will continue to do so until the religious parties are not needed for a majority government. But we don't see this happening in the near future.
As long as the religious parties hold a major role in the government, things will be bad. It's not that we are against religion, but these parties are using their power and position to force us, the non-religious people in the country, to do and not do things we don't believe in and they "control" our lives from their high positions telling us what is wrong and what is right. Religion is the basis for many decisions.
People should do what ever they believe in and no one should make them change their way of living just because others believe differently.
For example:
But we can say that with time things can be changed if more people will do something about it and give their support to the organizations and parties that fight for these rights and we can just hope that everything will be resolved in the best way for everybody.
