The Crash

I was at a party when I heard the terrible news. It is well known that here in Israel there are intense political problems, but this time, a horrific event occurred without justifiable reason. Israel lost 73 of its best soldiers when two helicopters accidently crashed. Each of these Israeli soldiers were killed, and each soldier had a family and many caring friends. There are at least 1,000 people who lost someone close to them in this devastating accident. My brother and his friends are in the army, and, therefore, this accident hit close to home and wasn't easy for my family to deal with.
Ever since our prime minister was assassinated last year, a lot of dreadful incidents have transpired in Israel. The country has faced difficult times which have resulted in sad families and the loss of human life without cause or reason. I have many friends who often cry because of the many horrible events which all too frequently occur in Israel, and now, again, another catastrophe has impacted our lives. It hurts to move on, and it hurts to accept the facts. However, now, more lives have been lost, young people's lives.
Yesterday, I heard that 73 soldiers died, and I hope that I will never have to hear of a thing like that again because I don't think that my country will be able to deal with such emotional pain ever again.
