The first thing to understand is that the Schoolhouse is a program
that fits into any school system. It is really a framework for
interaction with both the local and global community. It is
through your participation in this framework that you can
improve your level of knowledge in many different areas of
your studies, and apply that knowledge in some very real and
important ways.

Let's take a look at what we mean by that:

is based on the idea that students will learn more and grow more
when they are empowered to take their knowledge and skills
and use them to make positive contributions in their local
